    Edward M. Bixler was the founder of BCC Capital Partners and he was an extraordinary leader and entrepreneur. He founded BCC in 1987 to provide financial transaction, corporate finance and valuation services to business owners of private and publicly-held companies, with a special emphasis on Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs).

    Prior to the founding of BCC, he served as Vice President Finance for American Telecom; a leading international telecommunications company, Corporate Controller and Vice President Finance and Administration of the U.S. operations of Monier, Ltd., a multi-national company and Division Controller, as well as Vice President Finance of a leading subsidiary of Babcock & Wilcox, a Fortune 100 company.

    Ed was an enthusiastic and active supporter of ESOPs and considered a true visionary within the ESOP community. He served as a member of the ESOP Association Valuation Advisory Committee, the ESOP Association Legislative and Regulatory Advisory Committee, and the Employee Owned S-Corporations f America (ESCA) National Advisory Committee. He was also past Chairman of the Small Business Forum of the California Chamber of Commerce and was the author or contributing author of a number of published articles and authoritative works including the Corporate Controller's Handbook. Mr. Bixler was also on the Editorial Advisory Board of “Employee Stock Ownership Plans: ESOP Planning, Financing, Implementation, Law and Taxations”; the leading authoritative publication on ESOP plans and transactions.

    Ed held a B.S./B.A. from Bowling Green State University and an M.B.A. from Ohio University at Akron. He was a Certified Management Accountant in California and had successfully completed the Certified Public Accountant examination.

    He held the Series 7, 24, 66, and 79 FINRA licenses.
